Hits: 8 /3 DC
Awesome hp, a bit lower Atk than i'd like for a nuker. Breaker and Anima are his best types.

+150% Crit Dmg, +80% Spark Dmg, +20% Crit Chance
Strongest LS in the game in terms of damage, combined with the trademark SBS Crit chance boost, means he can be quite viable in crit resistant trials. Now that there are units like Gazia and Tridon around, dual 30%hp leads isn't needed at all in global. Just 3 stared RC5-10 with no raid item usage yesterday with Zenia + Zedus leads.

Brave Burst
Cost: 24BC/22DC - 11 Hit 350% Thunder/Light AoE (ATK+100), +70% Spark DMG for 3 turns, +50% Elemental Weakness Dmg for 3 turns
Super Brave Burst
Cost: 30BC/24DC - 12 Hit 600% Thunder/Light AoE (ATK+100), +80% Spark DMG for 3 turns, -50% ATK/DEF {50%} for 1 turn, +50% Crit Damage for 3 turns
Ultimate Brave Burst
Cost: 30BC/28DC - 14 Hit 1200% Thunder/Light AoE (ATK+100), +120% Spark DMG for 3 turns, +150% Elemental Weakness Dmg for 3 turns, +300% Crit Damage for 3 turns
Extra Skill
+20% All Stats [Equip Spear of Zedus], +60% Crit Chance Buff for 3 turns on BB/SBB [Equip Spear of Zedus]
Spear of Zedus (Status Boost) - +20% All Stats, +4-6 BC on Crit

To start off, there is a little reason not to use his Sphere, with how much it adds to his kit (occult treasure stat buff, bc on crit to help with his hefty sbb cost, the much desired 60% crit chance buff)
An easy way to sum him up, Damage. His kit is all about damage.
He offers quite a bunch of offensive buffs that pairs nicely with his LS, in a similar way to Zenia. He actually changed quite a bit compare to his 6* compare to other SBS units. He loses the single target BB, and his SBB isn't 3 hit anymore. The trade off is he gains an elemental weakness buff that works for all unit elements and the much needed crit chance buff, that frees you from having to bring another crit user.
He still keeps the best atk down buff in the game, which makes him a potent unit for non leader situations too.
His UBB 1up's Nemeth as well in terms of damage, making him a viable solution to nuking xiejing, and will be the key to even higher scores in Frontier Hunter Mid in a few weeks.
He even gains light elemental damage so he will never do elemental weak damage, dude is insane.

Personally, I find elemental weakness to be pretty useless in most scenarios due to many bosses having elemental resistance, also this would only work if your squad is matching up elements exactly. BB is also half as strong as SBB and lowers the spark buff. For most situations, its best to just to use SBB and normal attacks when you can't.Unless you need to use 75% mitigation for the content you are on, if Zedus is on your squad, you'd probably want to use his UBB if you have the option (if you ever get around to. His kit is strong enough that i've not filled my overdrive in any raid boss with zedus lead before they died).

if you can keep BC up and survivability isn't an issue, he's the best lead option around. In general though, he does serious damage as Lead for Raids, is fantastic for FG grinding, in the same way Avant is in japan. Heck I can form a consistent 3+ million points autobattle squad using Zedus + Zenia leads (Feeva, Grazia, Ark, Quaid).
Expect him to be a staple for FH mid/high farming.
There are better options for arena imo.

If you are using Zedus, he's most likely a leader. Due to him having some of the most common buffs around, expect to have some overlaps here and there, you shouldn't worry too much about that. His biggest weakness as a lead is no hp buffs and no bc gen, so to build around that, leaders that pair well that address those are RhoaTridonGriff, Chrome etc.
Zedus + Griff is a personal favorite raid combination if you can keep SBB up. Near impossible to not win in terms of damage with this setup.
Avant pairs nicely too if you can manage bc gen some other way. That would allow Avant to not waste dps casting his BB.
In terms of other units that synergize, Gazia offers a strong def->atk conversion buff and the best BB buff in the game. Ark and Nadore are my picks for atk buffers. As always use what you got and try to minimize on overlaps.
He works great as a sub if you can slot him correctly. 50% atk down isn't something to underestimate.

Biggest competition is other spark and crit buffers leaders... which are like 1/3 the 7* units in the game at this point. If you want pure damage, Zedus beats them all. if you want more hp, and bc gen at the sacrifice of damage, there are plenty of leaders to choose from (Griff, Chrome, Rhoa, etc). Zedus is primary for raids for me, and he's not effective in single target bc resistant content if you can't keep up with bc gen.
As a nonleader, his competition is mostly the above crit leaders, and Michele. As always use the minimal in buff overlaps and find what works for you.

Zero reason not to use his sphere. For the other slot, for raids and nuking, I prefer spark spheres like Heavenly Bud, or Crit boost spheres, like Gelnite Axe.
Otherwise slot in a bc gen sphere to help with his expensive SBB.

The best leader unit in the game for damage atm. And with how important damage is in Raids for scoring, expect to see him around for a long while, even with Avant coming in a few months.
