GRACIOUS MADAM CYAN REVIEW

CYAN - UNIT REVIEW AND ANALYSIS

Together with Adel and Eldora, Cyan is the 2nd Unit of first half of 8th 7-star batch coming to Gobal Client. This girl is definitely a niche Spark buffer!

Quick Unit review and Analysis:

  • This girl's got a niche to her that nobody else steals yet. Unfortunately, if you wanted to stack it with a LS with the same effect, one of her buffs will clash with every unit that has spark BC except Karl...
  • Her stats spread is pretty flat. She is an all-rounder. 27 drop checks for normal attack is acceptable. She is usable in arean, not spectacular though - kinda like the majority of earth units...
  • Her LS gives 30% Atk (low), 75% Spark damage (mediocre), and status immunity. With no HP factor, you won;t be using it for status immunity around options like Griel. The damage value works out less than units like Raaga. and it has no spark BC unlike Rhoa. It is not really the best LS around.
  • Her ES gives her a flat 4 BC gen per turn, which is fine. Better than units that need to crit to get their BC gen from ES, at any rate. Her SBB cost is pretty high, so she needs BC support at any rate.
  • Her BB is a generic AoE + spark damage. Nothing much to say - the spark buff is lower than her SBB, so it's kinda detrimental to use the BB.
  • Her SBB keeps all of that (while upping the spark damage to a respectable 80%), and bring a new buff to the table - she has turned Spark BC from an LS into a buff. With only a 50% chance to activate per spark it is significantly weaker than the LS, and you do need to maintain her SBB buff to keep it active, and as I've mentioned earlier you get major buff clash if you stack her with any relevant unit with the LS. It's still a very strong buff, but you kinda waste her potential if you want to use other effects of the same type.
    • She's also got an issue in her low hit counts, which can be pretty bad for sparking to make the most of her buff, as well as her expensive SBB cost... well, this entire batch and most units from the last few batches have had bad hit counts. I think Alim's trying to make BC gen harder simply by reducing hit counts for spark BC...
    • Because of how sparking works, this is one of those buffs that you can activate after other units within a turn and still benefit all units for the rest of the turn after that.
  • The UBB is just more of the same. Higher spark damage, higher BC gen on spark. Nothing much to say, but the BC produced from this is definitely higher than a single spark BC LS if you RNG is average
Overall, this girl is hard to place. She lets you take the spark BC role out of the LS slot, but it is weaker and she has bad hit counts for working with it. On the other hand, she stacks with spark BC leaders... but you waste the spark buff and leave her purely as a slight upgrade to your spark BC.

I think she'll be used, but I also think she's hard to use effectively. And unlike a spark BC leader, you won't benefit from her until her first SBB usage, which means squads using her alone for the effect have a slow start.
